What is National Casting Day?
National Casting Day is a nationwide initiative that shines a spotlight on the essential skills and services provided by casting departments in hospitals and clinics. It’s a day dedicated to orthopaedic casting, where teams celebrate their expertise, showcase innovative techniques, and engage with their local communities. Since its launch in 2014, National Casting Day has grown into a key event for fracture management plaster room services, and orthopaedic care across the UK, and one which Delta-Cast® is proud to support.
Why take part in National Casting Day?
For your team: Raise awareness of your department’s role in fracture treatment and orthopaedic care. Highlight the variety of casting techniques and the number of patients you support. Build recognition for your team’s contribution to patient recovery.

When is National Casting Day?
National Casting Day is usually held in November and this year's National Casting Day is on Thursday 5th November. From fracture management to orthopaedic care, hospital team showcase their skills and celebrate the vital role they play in patient care. Thank you to all Casting Crews for taking part last year, and for sharing their day with us. Your expertise makes a real difference in patient recovery every single day.

Halloween Cast-off Competition
Last year Delta-Cast also sponsored a Halloween themed cast-off competition. Cast rooms were invited to get creative and send a photograph to enter the competition. The level of the skills and creativity shown was outstanding. Thank you to all those that entered, and well done to the runners up and winners.
